Bruce Wampler, Ph.D. is founder and CEO of Object Central. 日本豬瘟疫情擴大 暫不考慮施打疫苗
（中央社東京11日綜合外電報導）日本豬瘟疫情蔓延5府縣，部分養豬業者要求使用豬瘟疫苗，但農林水產省擔心一旦使用疫苗，恐不利豬肉出口，目前態度是備而不用，先用及早發現、盡速撲殺及消毒等來控制疫情。
豬瘟（Classical Swine Fever）是一種對肉豬或野豬具高度傳染力的疾病，但不會傳染給人類。根據日本家畜傳染病預防法規定，只要養豬場發現有豬隻感染豬瘟，就必須撲殺養豬場內所有豬隻。
日本放送協會（NHK）報導，目前日本已備妥可供約100萬頭豬使用的豬瘟疫苗，且在豬瘟疫情蔓延到5府縣後，部分養豬業者開始要求中央政府使用豬瘟疫苗，遏止疫情延燒。
5府縣包括大阪府、愛知縣、長野縣、岐阜縣及滋賀縣。
不過，農林水產省認為，雖然豬瘟疫苗有助預防豬隻感染，但仍有其缺點，所以目前方向是暫不使用豬瘟疫苗。
使用疫苗最主要的缺點，就是到被國際機構認定不再發生豬瘟疫情的時間，要比未使用疫苗來得長，使用疫苗對豬肉出口恐會造成負面影響。
另外，使用豬瘟疫苗可能讓業者因此不確實做好消毒等衛生管理工作，增加豬隻曝露在豬瘟以外疾病的風險。
農林水產省目前希望透過及早發現、盡速撲殺及消毒等方式控制疫情；如果真的到了完全無法控制豬瘟疫情擴散的階段，再來研究使用疫苗。
農林水產省表示，非洲豬瘟是目前沒有疫苗且更具傳染性的豬隻疾病，就算哪天進入日本也不足為奇，所以目前因應豬瘟疫情，依賴疫苗將是最後手段。（譯者：黃名璽/核稿：蔡佳敏）1080211
